So this tells me that she needs you be firm, clear and consistent with her.
Great for not blaming her that is fantastic!
What I want you to do each day is let her know one thing you like about her you need to build that relationship up again so you can have a conversation with her.
If you can not find anything you like make a list of the don't likes and we will turn them around.
You will only put this right by getting back in her influential sphere.
Can you tell me a little about the stealing and about your relationship with them?

About Me:
I'm a stay at home mum / lone parent/ part time mature stucent (now Postgrad) struggling hard with 3 children; 12 yr olddaughter, 10 yr old son with Asperger's Syndrome and 8yr old son
About my teenager:
Has had an unsettled life until 4 yrs ago. Abandoned by her father aged 3 1/2, moved from London to NI when she was 8.
Now happily settled into grammar school, but clearly has issues with me
The one question I would like to ask Sarah.
Why is she stealing from me and denying it?
My biggest challenge.
For my daughter to be able to see those around her and understand how her actions impact on them, to make her independent and considerate and a genuinely kind person

Have you sat down and spoke with her about this and asked her why at all?
